Here's a a demo of the line 6 POD HD500x as a vocal & guitar processor no post-processing.  I regularly use this at my church to plug acoustic/electric/vocals straight into the house mixer. It sounds pretty good live. For recording the mic preamp is okay, but I haven't tried with a higher-end dynamic mic. And maybe, my EQ and compressor-setting skills are lacking. But hey... it works. Guitar is Breedlove Atlas and mic is Audix OM2.  I include signal chain at the end of the video. Cheers!
