The mother and sisters of Cheyenne VanTreese sat on the stoop across from Vance Monument Saturday evening, sobbing and hugging the friends of Cheyenne that came to pay tribute to her memory.About 75 people attended the vigil, where relatives and friends wrote messages on balloons and released them into the air as final messages to Cheyenne.I haven't seen her in probably a year, said Autumn Jones, a friend of Cheyenne's. But she just leaves that kind of affect on you. She was a truly amazing person, a sweetheart.Loved ones held the vigil just hours after authorities identified the remains found Thursday on James Drive in Leicester as 23-year-old VanTreese. Those close to her who attended the vigil were left with more questions than answers. Many knew she was going through a troubling time in recent months. She was always a really good friend, and I spoke with her a couple months ago and just uplifting her during that time when she was going through some issues, said Jennifer Davis, a friend since kindergarten.Funeral arrangements have not been made at this time, but the family told News 13 they were trying to establish a fund to help pay for the expenses. _______________ Follow WLOS on social media: WLOS ABC 13 News on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/News13/ WLOS ABC 13 News on Twitter: https://twitter.com/WLOS_13 WLOS ABC 13 News on Instagram: https://instagram.com/wlos_13 Subscribe to WLOS on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/ABC13Channel/?sub_confirmation=1 Listen to AnchorMOMS, the Podcast: https://wlos.com/news/anchormoms/anchormoms-the-podcast Watch more top local news stories: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kk8Ge6UXHJs&list=PLkVbaoT-aYbIvnEpR0Ct5QQQqYaORUSUH For all of the day’s top local and national news, visit http://www.wlos.com Watch our live newscasts and other live video at https://wlos.com/watch Have a news tip?
