EMD WDG4 Flies Past Smoking at 100kph!

2 May 2016, Chikkadevanur, KA. [Bengaluru - Hubballi Line] Train: 11021 Dadar - Tirunelveli Chalukya Express. KJM's WDG4 12647 has always been notorious for being a heavy smoker, even by ALCO standards, and I had always wanted to catch it at speed, spewing out thick black smoke. As luck would have it, I managed to do just that as the Tirunelveli-bound Chalukya Express turned up with this monster. Passing through the station of Devanur at 100kph, the loco pilot notches up the 4500hp loco to maintain speed over a massive 3km long gradient and true to its nature the EMD starts belching out smoke as it passes by the camera. Assistant Loco Pilot was kind enough to wave as he passed by, and I thank him for that acknowledgement.
