The Quiet Volume is happening at the Philadelphia Free Library's central branch. It is an audio intensive work of "autoteatro" (audience performed theater). The artist collaborators Ant Hampton and Tim Etchells enlist two volunteers to wear headphones and sit in one of the library's reading rooms. Recorded whispers give instructions and the performers begin a journey through works of literature, art, and sound.
