We expected to find remnants of Sydney's Aboriginal and colonial history as we built the Sydney Light Rail project, but were stunned to discover what one expert has described as "an unprecedented quantity" of Aboriginal tools, with more than 22,000 individual artefacts.

We are now working with a range of Aboriginal representatives to ensure the find is appropriately studied, recorded and recognised.
