LAFD / 6-2-11 / Los Angeles (City) Firefighters battle a blaze that destroyed two occupancies in a 75' by 200' one story commercial building in downtown L.A. Firefighters first on scene at 853 South Central Avenue reported two units fully involved extending to the rest of the building. The building housed party supplies and paper goods. The cause of the late night blaze was reported to be a result of welders repairing roll down metal gates. Several days earlier another fire destroyed an outdoor warehouse behind these occupancies.
