Surfing on Christmas Day (2016) in Ucluelet, BC at Wickaninnish Beach. Full wetsuits are required, as there was frost on the beach and icy cold Canadian waters. If you're going to visit the Pacific Rim National Park, Tofino or Ucluelet BC this year, then you are likely going to try surfing. This is surfers heaven in Canada with 26 miles of beach and great consistent waves. Throw on a thick wet suit, ride some waves and then head back to the hotel to warm up in the hot tub. Whether you're hitting up Florencia Bay, Wickanninish Beach, Long Beach or Chesterman Beach, you'll always find an empty spot to drop your stuff and head for the water.
