This video will tell of the experience a good friend of mine and myself had ordering a product from Sears Ship Direct ( Sears Expedition Directe ) and then having to find a way to contact customer service and return the product for refund after the product was shipped defective. Is this company reliable? Can this company be trusted? Is this company affiliated with Sears Retail Stores? Can products bought through this service be returned to Sears Retail Stores? Does this service charge for shipping and do they refund shipping costs? This video will attempt to address all of these questions.

Here is a breakdown of the costs associated with returning this defective home stereo system to Sears Ship Direct:

List price (before taxes and shipping)
$199.96

After taxes and shipping, the total was
$261.97

Refunded on Sears Credit Card after returning product
$227.80

Original shipping cost (not refunded)
$34.17

PLUS shipping cost to return item (approximate and not refunded)
$30

Aside from time, effort and frustration, returning this item cost the original purchaser about $65 in out of pocket expenses (expenses that were not refunded or reimbursed by the company).
