From Elk Mountain Highway-Bull Gap on Blue Ridge Parkway hiked Mountains-to-Sea Trail east towards Rattlesnake Lodge then along a lofty ridgeline to Lane Pinnacle at 5,230 feet. Round trip of 11.3 miles in 5.5 hours. This was my backup hike for the day, the Blue Ridge Parkway was closed beyond this intersection. I was on my way back from a bachelor party weekend in Asheville, so the video was somewhat sloppy. I apologize for that, I focused on getting through the day with little food or liquid. This hike is not filled with views, but I really enjoyed the trail between High Swain and Lane Pinnacle. A fun ridgeline with airy winter views. Hope you enjoy!
