 Yes, I'm going to talk about the endangered whales off Canada's west coast again. We all know the story, but for some reason the Canadian government allowed the Navy to conduct live fire exercise in the protected area. 

So this protected area had been closed for recreational and commercial fishing to help the orcas find chinook salmon... Again we know the story, But as soon as the ban was lifted in October this year the Navy was given the all clear to practise in the waters with fishermen. 
I’m sure you can imagine what sort of exercises took place in the waters, from machine gun peppering and the testing of smoke bombs and just a few of the practices they do. So yeah you can’t fish there but you can fire a machine gun into the waters… It’s also been noted that whilst these activities were happening the orcas were spotted in the water close by…
