In her 13 years as General Manager of Sunrise Department Store, Hsu, Lilin transformed the department store into a symbol of sophisticated taste and lifestyle. More importantly, she helped many original Taiwan brands define their own styles and become well-established, raising the overall standard of Taiwan's department store industry.  Committed to Taiwan's cultural and creative industries, she has devoted herself to the reinterpretation, research, and development of the Taiwanese lifestyle and characteristics of Chinese culture.  In 2005, together with more than a hundred shareholders, she founded the Xue Xue Institute to promote research and education in the cultural and creative industries, in order to contribute to Taiwan's economic transformation

任職中興百貨總經理13年，以創新的經營理念，使中興百貨成為百貨業界精緻生活文化的表徵，並協助台灣自創品牌廠商建立風格，藉此提升台灣百貨業的整體水準。此外，耕耘台灣文化創意產業多年，致力於台灣生活風格與中華文化特色的重新詮釋和研究發展。有感於大中華地區文化創意教育及研究對產業轉型的重要，於2005年與上百位台灣文化創意產業界菁英，共同成立學學文創志業股份有限公司Xue Xue Institute，並於2007年成立學學文化創意基金會，讓M型社會底層的弱勢家庭子女免費學習文化創意。
