Poppy takes us on a guided tour of part of the new aviary. The adjoining intensive care hospital aviary (to the lower left) is still under construction and Poppy does surprised 'big wings' as she notices the new fixtures and roofing affixed yesterday. The bats grooming and sleeping on the right are a mixture of permanent care and rehab animals. Walter and Gelert laze on their comfortable bed in the open door cage lower down. Cinders, Dana, Twinkletoes, Pikelet and Sheila hang above them (hence the perspex so nobody uses the old boys for pooping target practice) and Teddy takes the weight of his ageing feet by lazing on the mezzanine level shelf.
