Power 2 The Poetry is a performing arts LLC specializing in spoken word poetry. They promote freedom of expression, and provide a platform for underrepresented demographics in the community including but not limited to: people of color, LGBTQ+, women, youth, people with different abilities, etc. Their mantra is: Express. Expose. Ignite. They express their truths and feelings. They expose those truths and feelings, which address social, cultural, political, and/or personal issues. Then they ignite or inspire their audience to make a difference in their communities, live their truths, unapologetically be themselves, follow their dreams, and progress to be better and greater. Power 2 The Poetry is: Bethany Montgomery, AJ The Wordsmith, and Charles Chuckinspir. Bethany Montgomery is founder of a spoken word movement promoting freedom of expression and providing an advocacy platform to underrepresented demographics. Raising awareness to social, cultural, and political issues; she and her colleagues work by infiltrating consciousness and expressing truth. Bethany and her colleagues seek to shed light on experiences that expose social issues. Bethany is the spark that ignites the flame to stand up and be the change we want in our worlds. She believes in the power of words to motivate change through the use of poetry to express, expose, ignite and to instill culture, diversity, and inclusion in the community.
