DPRK transfers remains of US soldiers from Korean War

The White House says the remains of some US soldiers killed in the Korean War have been retrieved from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK). The United Nations Command said a total of 55 cases of remains were transferred to a US military plane on Friday. The plane made a rare trip from a US air base in the Republic of Korea (RoK) to a coastal city in the DPRK to retrieve the remains. A formal repatriation ceremony will be held in the ROK next Wednesday.
