On 18th December 2018, Mumbai based engineer, Hamid Ansari finally returned to India after spending 6 years in a Pakistan Jail on espionage charges. Ansari had entered Pakistan on 12 November 2012 using fake identification documents, to meet a woman from Kohat in Pakistan who he had befriended on Facebook. In this interview, Nikhil Wagle talks to Journalist and Human Rights Activist Jatin Desai about his pivotal role in Ansari's release, the events that led to his arrest and more.
