Christine Legrand was one of my favorite singers. Ward Swingle arranged a Bach piece for the Swingle Singers, and I have always been influenced by her phrasing. I did this in honor of Johnny Winter's passing, because I wanted to acknowledge his influence, but didn't want to try to copy the man by playing one of his tunes. He did that well enough already. RIP Johnny.
