Every human being has unconscious biases.  These biases help  make decisions.  When a person is aware of what their unconscious biases are; they can make conscious decisions knowing that those biases should or not or should not help them or guide them in making their decisions, ensuring  decisions are not one-sided or another.  When one is  aware of his/her unconscious biases , informed decisions is made  shaping a constructive future. Kami Lamki is an Educational Consultant at Teclution Seeb Systems. Her background in education spans over twenty years in education, beginning in Texas where, after a few years of teaching, she was promoted into administration.

Amongst her experiences, She was the Superintendent of an International School, She served as the assistant superintendent for 17 middle schools the Vice Principal of a middle school and a Principal of an elementary and secondary school.

As an educational consultant she has served on boards of directors for various schools, including the board of directors for the Sultan School of Oman and for the ABA.

She was also on the Women in Business forum of Oman with the Chamber of Commerce. She is currently working towards her Doctorate in Educational Administration.

Through her work she is able to facilitate lifelong self-directed learning for children and adults, cultivating a learning community. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
