Actor Jake Gyllenhaal is nominated for a Golden Globe and a SAG award for his role in Nightcrawler. He portrays a creepy news stringer whose job it is to video tape accidents and crime scenes and sell it to TV news stations. "It is an interesting job. It's a fascinating job to be up all night searching for the goriest footage for the highest price," said Gyllenhaal. Ambulance chasers, paparazzi and some news stringers, have gotten a bad rap but the Hollywood heavyweight says the media is not to blame for what's on the screen. "It’s a simple thing to blame the media and what’s on on TV, but we’re the ones consuming it and we’re the ones asking for it. Take responsibility for yourself," said Gyllenhaal.
