This song evolved from a traditional sailors' song "All For Me Grog", a version of which I uploaded some time ago. It reached the shores of Australia where it was adapted to suit the new environment and with a modification to the original tune became "Across The Western Plains". It has been drawn to my attention as a request from Cyril Michael Devine. I have just produced a book of songs under the title "50 Songs from the 'threelegsoman' collection".
