with an exclusive showcase of the incredible artistry and achievement of Emeli 

Sandé.

WHAT:ESSENCE is committed to spotlighting, elevating and supporting female artists on-the-rise

with its annual Black Women in Music event. The celebration was hosted by 

ESSENCE Entertainment Director, Cori Murray, and featured a live performance by 

Emeli Sandé with guest performer Naughty Boy.

the 2014 ESSENCE Black Women in Music event.
