UP 844, the 1944 ALCO Built FEF-3 Class 4-8-3 "Northern" steam locomotive returns to the Kansas City Area and Union Station for the first time in 4 years towards the beginning of its "Trek to Tennessee", an exhibition trip to commemorate the new Big River Crossing over the Mississippi River in Memphis, TN. You'll see the train on rails it ran in revenue service on the UP Kansas Sub., as well as former the Missouri Pacific Railroad on the River Sub. east of the state line. The "Living Legend" looks and sounds great as it clicks off the miles towards Memphis.
