Who’s Sorry Now? Fox Trot (Snyder) – The Green Brothers Xylophone Orchestra, Gennett 1923 (USA)

NOTE: The Green Brothers Xylophone Orchestra was in the 1920s a popular American dance band led by the xylophone artists Joe & George Hamilton Green along with their younger brother, Lew. Beginning around 1915 and continuing through the early recording industry, when the xylophone could be entertaining for dance, the brothers worked together in ensembles such as the Green Brothers' Xylophone Orchestra, the Green Brothers Novelty Band, the Green Brothers Marimba Orchestra, and the Green Brothers Mellorimba Orchestra. In later years, Joe Green became active with his own dance band, creating series of releases for Brunswick and Victor with ensambles such as Joe Green's Orchestra, Joe Green’s Ambassadors, Joe Green's Marimba Band, and Joe Green's Vibraphone Dance Orchestra. Green also worked as a jazz drummer during the '20s, recording with Fats Waller, among others. In 1939 Joe Green died during an operation, soon afterward his brother George retired from the music business and started working as a cartoonist.
