Death toll rises to 34 as hundreds remain missing in California wildfires

The death toll has risen to 34 in the Northern California wildfires, already a record for the state. And that number is expected to climb higher with more than 250 people still missing. The fires have destroyed at least 5,700 homes and other buildings, consuming over 200,000 acres of dry brush, grasslands and trees across eight counties.
