An episode of the Australian TV series "BP Super Show" (1959-1970). This episode consists mostly of American singer Ella Fitzgerald performing at the Embers night club in Melbourne. Also featured is a number by her backing band (Lou Levy Quartet).

Note: The newspaper The Age in its 19 January 1961 edition mentions it was taped several weeks in advance, and mentions that the hour-long broadcast was edited down from about 80 minutes of video-taped material. 

The 14 January 1961 broadcast date provided is for Melbourne. It wasn't shown until 21 January 1961 in Sydney. I went through various newspapers to get the broadcast dates for both cities. I do not know the broadcast dates for Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth and Hobart. Australian shows were often shown at different dates in each city. 

When originally broadcast, this special featured a performance of "Jingle Bells". This does not appear in the surviving copy.
