Farmers of Sattari under the banner of Sattari Bhumiputra gathered at Valpoi on Sunday. There was huge response to the meet. Farmers and speakers demanded to scrap amendment to Alvara land law. Farmers are not ready to pay Rs. 5 per sqmtr land. Revenue Minister Rohan Khaunte said if the title is clear then there is no need to pay. Amendment is to give ownership rights to the farmers.
