A true legend of the game, Sir Garfield Sobers served as Sri Lanka’s Head Coach in the early 1980’s. Apart from his great talent with both bat and ball, Sir Gary, as he was fondly known, possessed an almost unapparelled knowledge on all things cricket. Here former Sri Lanka opening batsman Sidath Wettimuny relates a story that reflects just that.
