More people want their pets to have care equal to their own. But those who do can expect to pay some big bills, KMBC's Bev Chapman reported. "She got into some food she should not have eaten," said Greg Lund of Liberty. "When something like that happens and they're sick and they feel bad, you just want to do everything that you can." The Lund family said they weren't thinking of money when they brought their miniature schnauzer, Pepper, to Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Care in Overland Park, Kan.
