This shows a simple electromechanical device I made. I built it to experiment with varying the magnetic field of a permanent magnet by pulsing an electromagnet. In building this I was forced to reexamine the basic laws that the govern it's activity. The famous Maxwell equations (laws) define it. Even though my days of understanding the calculus equations are over, I was able to find videos that helped me understand the basic concepts.
Here is a "basic level" animation video that I found helpful in understanding Maxwell's laws and how they relate to what I built. A description of what goes on as it relates to Dr. Stiffler's 'Quantum Energy Receiver' starts at the 44 min. mark.
