Battle of Hulao Gate (Cao Cao's Forces) - Open Hulao Gate while preventing the defeats of all allied officers.

The only person that you have to worry about is Cheng Pu, who gets defeated less than a minute into the stage. Therefore, rush to Cheng Pu at the start, and take out Song Xian to protect Cheng Pu. Next, you'll want to establish a supply line for Yuan Shu so that he can send provisions to Sun Jian. Doing this will raise your morale above the enemy's and ensure that your allies stay alive for the remainder of the battle. Head to the southeast base, and eliminate Xu Rong and Zang Ba to establish the supply line. This triggers Hua Xiong's appearance, but you should instead head over to Sun Jian's location to help him fight off Hou Cheng and Ma Richan. Hua Xiong will follow you here, so defeat him as well to open Sishui Gate.

From here, you'll need to defeat several officers to open the gates that they're guarding. Continue progressing towards Dong Zhuo while killing these officers to proceed: Dong Cheng, Wei Xu, and Zhang Liao (ambush). Following Zhang Liao's defeat, travel south and then west at the corner to engage with a trio of officers: Wang Yun, Gao Shun, and Dong Min. Their defeats will trigger Jia Xu's appearance with his ballista unit. At the same time, the gate that leads to Jia Xu will now open. Backtrack to this specific gate, and defeat Jia Xu to seize the lone ballista. Finally, use the ballista to destroy the two catapults guarding Hulao Gate. After a bit of lag, a cutscene will play, and Lu Bu will break through Hulao Gate.
