1. Now Airbags for your smartphone. A German engineering student called Philip Frenzel has invented a mobile airbag smartphone case that could help protect phones from damage when they fall. The case deploys four metal springs to protect the phone from damage when it falls. The case is equipped with sensors that can tell when the phone is in free fall.
The student is reportedly going to try to further fund the project via Kickstarter.

2. WhatsApp launches new One-Way Broadcasting feature for group chats. To enable the setting, WhatsApp users on Android as well as iOS are required to update their apps to the latest version. Users can then open a group chat and tap on “Group Info,” tap Group Settings and find the "Send Messages" option and then select “Only Admins.” This will allow only group admins to converse while other participants will receive a footer which reads that the admin has disabled others from conversing in the group.
The feature is, however, for the time being, limited to only one option so the admin still cannot block individual rights of a particular person to send messages.

3. Samsung launches Galaxy On6 at Rs 14,490; will be Flipkart exclusive. Samsung Galaxy On6’s price in India is Rs 14,490 and it goes on sale from July 5.  This is for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage version. Samsung Galaxy On6 will also come with the option for Flipkart’s complete mobile protection plan at a price of Rs 49 only. The company is also offering no cost EMI starting at Rs 1,610 from bank debit/credit cards.

4. OnePlus launches sixth variant of OnePlus 6, new Red colour will go on sale from July 16
OnePlus 6 Red Edition price in India has been set at Rs. 39,999 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. The new Edition will go on sale in the country starting July 16.
The dual-SIM (Nano) OnePlus 6 runs Android 8.1 Oreo with OxygenOS 5.1 on top and is upgradable to Android P. The handset features a 6.28-inch full-HD+ (1080x2280 pixels) Full Optic AMOLED display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and Adreno 630 GPU. The handset has a dual rear camera setup with a 16-megapixel primary Sony IMX519 sensor and an f/1.7 aperture and a 20-megapixel secondary Sony IM376K sensor. Both sensors are supported by a dual-LED flash. For selfies, the smartphone has a 16-megapixel Sony IMX371 sensor with an f/2.0 aperture.
