This video might be a bit grose for a lot of people, but to a lizard, a juicy beetle is a real treat. Here, Satan enjoys a Christmas treat, a midnight snack. I nice juicy Christmas beetle. Yeah yeah yeah I know, his name is Satan and heaps of religious people take offence to that. I do not understand why. I believe in god myself. Satan is just the name of my blue tongue lizard, nothing more nothing less. I just wanted to give my pet lizard, or pet skink a name with a bit of an edge! The blue tongue lizard is native to my area, where I live here in South Eastern Australia. They show up in people gardens right here in my town all the time. They are amazing creatures and make excellent pets. The Blue Tongue Lizard, or as the Americans like to call them, Blue Tongue skink should NEVER EVER been taken from the wild and kept as a pet. That is quite cruel and also illegal. Satan was bred in captivity, meaning that the only way of life that he knows is to be handled by people and hand fed in an enclosure. His wild hunting abilities would be quite poor. On the flip side to this, if you collect a wild blue tongue lizard and put it in a tank, it will likely never be friendly and always be a little bit skittish, and may be hard to feed. Satan himself can be hard to feed at times as you can see here when he takes his time eating this Christmas beetle. As you can see though, Once Satan found the Christmas beetle, he destroyed it...loved it! #Lizard #bluetongueskink #BTS
