DAYTON -- Storms that moved through Montgomery County came and left in a matter of minutes, but they were still strong enough to take out power to more than 3,700 homes. The rain was coming down very hard throughout Montgomery County. We saw some pea-size hail, but some reports said it was as big as half an inch. The storms came around 3:30 Thursday afternoon, and it didn't take but 10 minutes after we got our cameras out to start shooting that the storm passed right over us. Still, in that short time, there was a lot to see and hear."We had quite a bit of hail," Ernest Wilson said after his house was without power for an hour. "It looked like over half an inch, and excessive winds rocking the trees. We have quite a few trees here, so I was concerned about that, and then I became more concerned about the lightning."
