The Var region in the South of France is famous for its wine. Its home to rosé,the pink-coloured wine made by employing a special technique. 85 percent of French rosé comes from here and its considered excellent. Thats why local vintners are outraged by EU plans to let producers make rosé by mixing red and white,but these plans have now been withdrawn,after furious vintner protests.
