So I played with crop mode in Magic Lantern some more and decided to do a 2K clip and see if I could come up with a comfortable work flow. I had to use AfterFX because Davinci Resolve Free doesn't allow anything more than 1080p: 1. Rawanizer : generate DNG from ML .RAW file. 2. Load in After FX and adjusted a bit using ACR 3. Generate Proxies clips from AfterFX 4. Import proxies into Premiere Pro for editing (note: create a timeline at the "Final quality" resolution; the proxies will be center and don't fill up the screen, but it's okay) 5. Once the edit locked, back to AfterFX and generates FULL quality clips ( I used Uncompressed 10 bits Quicktime video) 6. In Premiere Pro, select the proxies clip in the project window and hit Replace Clip, then browse to the FULL quality clip 7. the timeline in PP updated with the full quality clip and the video fill up the screen with the proper resolution. 8. Apply final touch if needed with filters... or run Neat noise reduction 9. Render to final video. ML Setting: 2048x872 @ 2.35:1 ratio (with FPS override at 23.976) 5x Crop mode
