📍 How to Unlock
🛠️ Requirements: Finish Mission 9 of the main story and build the Medical Platform on Mother Base.

Automatically appears as a mandatory Side Op needed to progress the story!

🗺️ Location & Objective
Target: Dr. “Huey” Emmerich

Area: 🎯 Serak Power Plant, Afghanistan

Goal: Reach the red door at the far end of the Power Plant (eastern side) to trigger a cutscene and complete the Side Op.

⚠️ No combat grading—focus is on infiltrating stealthy and story progression!

🏇 Route & Stealth Tips
Landing Zone: Closest is west of the Power Plant—farther than usual, so prep for a trek. Use your D-Horse for speedy, low-key travel! 🐎✨

Approach:

Cross through the Aabe Shifap Ruins (where you fought Quiet in Mission 11). Sneak past or tranquilize guards along the way.

Follow the main asphalt road east for best access—watch out for random patrols! 👥🚧

Entry: Stick to the left-side rocks near the plant to minimize visibility. Go prone if you see patrols or use silenced weapons for non-lethal takedowns. 🌚🤫

🏢 Infiltration Guide
Jump over the first metal fence/wall and stay crouched.

Move carefully—guards may smoke or idle near the office windows.

If the coast is clear, quickly hop the next fence/gate and head to the outside stairway up to the office building.

Crawl behind the building (left!) and stay low—peek through windows to avoid being spotted! 😏🍃

Wait for any guard shift-changes if patrols are in the way (patience pays off).

Carefully slip through the red door to trigger the end cutscene—mission complete! 🚪🎬

Side Op 82: Make Contact with Emmerich
Debriefing

Info: Head to Serak Power Plant and make contact with the scientist Dr. Emmerich, who wants to defect. Emmerich is suspected of being involved with the attack on Mother Base 9 years ago.
How to obtain: Complete Episode 9 and have medical platform at Mother Base

This one is really simple although there's a lot of ground to run across to get here. Proceed all the way to Serak Power Plant and once here we have to get all the way to the far right of the Power Plant. I recommend following the path on the left. You can use all the containers and stuff around here for cover. Go up the stairs at the far end, go behind the building and crawl towards the red door, which is locked. You can do it this way of the other way, the Hard Way, just like I show in the video above.
Side Op 83: Mine Clearing 01
Debriefing

Info: Clear landmines that have been set and left behind. Diamond Dogs has been contracted by an NGO to undertake peacekeeping activities such as these.
How to obtain: Complete Episode 9

This one is really easy. Head southwest of Spugmay Keep and you'll see right there in the open many claymores. You can easily see them when you use NVG. Also remember D-Dog detects them so use him as much as you can. Approach each mine from behind and keep CIRCLE pressed to pick it up.
Side Op 84: Mine Clearing 02
Debriefing
