I wrote this for my wife for her first ever mother's day. I knew I wanted to do something really special to celebrate this chapter of her life but wasn't really sure what to do. I had always wanted to do slam poetry so I thought this might be a good time to give it a go. As I started writing the words slowly just started falling onto the page and the more I thought about her journey as a mother the more I felt compelled to talk about our miscarriage.
