Nate Shinagawa, Democratic nominee running for New York's new 23rd Congressional District seat representing the Southern Tier and the Finger Lakes, speaks at a rally and march on August 17, 2012 in Watkins Glen, NY. More than 200 area residents protested Inergy Corporation's huge LPG (liquified petroleum gas) northeast US storage depot in deep salt mine caverns beneath Seneca Lake near Watkins Glen, part of the infrastructure for the regional hydrofracking nightmare that has thousands rising up in opposition across New York state.
