If not consciously then at least subconsciously. And one of those all-time ever timeless bucket list items is of course going on a hot air balloon ride. And that's why we had to try it, and where better to do it than above the magical Yarra Valley, which is only 50 minutes away from Melbourne by the way. Going on a hot air balloon is no joke if you are terrible at getting up in the morning. And that is something we both are, but the excitement of riding a hot air balloon was so great that we had no problem getting up at 2.30 am in order to meet at the Yarra Lodge 4.30 sharp. The whole experience was 10/10. We felt safe and the hot air balloon staff of Picture This was both competent and kind. We honestly cannot recommend enough going on a hot air balloon ride. It is not hyped. It is absolutely marvellous and something everybody should experience before Grim Reaper says hi. NEW HERE? - We're Amalie and Joen.
