The Enga Provincial Government wants Agriculture to be the driving force for the provincial economy. Sir Peter Ipatas said this at the official launch of the Enga-Agro Industrial Centre. He said with millions already invested in the education sector, agriculture would now be the focus of his administration. Over 200 small-scale farmers will be engaged in the project that will see facilities built to develop their produce and sell to other parts of the country including overseas markets. Deputy Provincial Administrator, Sandis Tsaka, said the project would not only develop the Province's agriculture sector, but will help locals sustain themselves and keep away from unlawful activities, like tribal fights. A plaque was unveiled by Governor Ipatas and Innovative Agro Industries Chairman, Ilan Weiss, to mark the start of project. The total investment is K23milliion. - visit us at http://www.emtv.com.pg/ for the latest news...
