A conversation of Medea Benjamin and Sara Knuckey moderated by Nermeen Shaikh about what a bad idea drones are, how they make enemies and terrorists by killing innocent civilians in large numbers, yet many hundreds of companies and countries like Israel and Germany, as well as the US, are already in that business so it will be hard to stop huge growth. Drone warfare is being conducted totally in the dark, away from transparency and accountability, and is responsible for immense suffering in the areas of the U.S.'s never ending war on terror, particularly Pakistan and Yemen..

Medea is author of Drone Warfare, Killing by Remote Control. Medea is an activist, journalist and co-founder of CODEPINK, and has recently from the Pashtun territories in Pakistan, where she traveled with families of drone victims and the anti-drone Pakistani politician, Imran Khan. Sara is co-author of a recent NYU/Stanford report "Living Under Drones." Nermeen is a producer at Democracy Now. The January 28, '13 event was Part of the Culture Project's Blueprint For Accountability co-presented by CODEPINK, and supported by partners, The Nation, The World Can't Wait, the Center for Constitutional Rights, Bill of Rights Defense Committee, Mondoweiss, Theaters Against War, Brooklyn for Peace, and Veterans for Peace.
