Our puppy has swam a few times in the bath tub when he was very young and also a few times when he jumped off our boards while doing SUP (stand up paddling). But this was his first time voluntarily going in the water to retrieve a stick.

At first he thrashed the water, but then he learned to efficiently doggie paddle.
