At Harvard, Dr. Palmer's courses on courage and engagement attracted as many as 600 students per term and he was voted the university's best lecturer. Currently based at Uppsala University in Sweden, Palmer co-created the Raoul Wallenberg Calendar, a portrayal of 365 heroes that is being serialized on Radio Sweden on each day of 2013. His next book, with Ola Larsmo, will be 101 Historical Heroes. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
