In villages, towns and cities across Europe, remembrance ceremonies will be held Sunday to mark the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month -- one hundred years since the armistice brought an end to the fighting in World War I. But in Germany, there will be no grand commemorations of the events of 1918.
