It may be easily recognisable, thanks to its eye-catching façade and sign, but De Xing Guan has been serving its noodles here for more than 100 years so few locals need help in finding it. There are two floors: the ground floor serves 20 types of noodles and assorted rice dishes; upstairs is home to a more comfortable dining room offering a greater range of Shanghainese dishes, from soups to hot dishes and dim sum.
