Revisiting a song I started months ago and ended up redoing as testing new microphone (Audio Technica =Win).:)
I have seen many musicians deliberating on their musical future recently and it reminded me of this song and it's meaning.
(ignore the little typo.....just spotted it. Doh! Ha ha)

"Don't let go, don't give up, Take hold of the Flame, continue to chase that dream and hold it firm with both hands".

It's no secret I love Queensryche - Geoff Tate is one of my favourite singers ever. I think this is the third cover of Queensryche I have sung so far. (still one to make a lyric video for before release)
Obviously no one is going to match Tate's awesomeness but it was fun to sing and make my own.Hope you enjoy.

Take Hold of the Flame - Meaning.
"The song is about people who have missed opportunities. The opening line is, "We see the line of those who find the world has passed them by / Too late to save a dream that’s gone cold." It’s about people who have missed their chance; they didn’t capitalize on their potential for whatever reason. The light just seemed to pass them by. We felt that we had ahold of the light, and when Geoff wrote the chorus, he rewrote it as, "Take hold of the flame." Chris DeGarmo, October 1991
