This is my first journey into writing my own song. If you watch several of my videos, you will see that many of them are about whiskey, beer or other such things. Although not an alcoholic, (I proclaim to be a drunk -- that way I don't have to attend any meetings) I do like to toss a few back now and again. Jameson is my whiskey of choice, but I usually drink cheap American blended whiskey as sometimes I go for quantity rather than quality. If you have never tried Jameson, please do. I believe Irish whiskey is the best -- smoother than even Scotch, and Jameson is the best of them all. Of Course that is my opinion (I am an official certified Irish Whiskey Taster -- But that may be biased as I received the certification at the Jameson Distillery in Dublin). Darn, now I'm thirsty. Anyways, the song is meant to be kind of a Dubliners meets George Jones meets Woody Guthrie but isn't nearly as good, so that comparison isn't in the least correct. Its about my wish of having a two day work week and 5 day weekend and how work keeps cutting into my drinking time.
