How to add vinyl to a ribbon to customize your gift giving.

Have you been searching and searching for that perfect ribbon to match your wrapping paper?  Too hard to find?  Why not make it! 
 Adding a little bit of vinyl to basic ribbon can make a huge difference.  And it is so simple and quick to do.  What a great way to personalize all your gift giving this season.

For this project here are a few things you need:

Ribbon - You can find that almost anywhere.  Or even use a strip of fabric with a little vinyl on it.
Heat Transfer Vinyl - Any type will work - https://expressionsvinyl.com/heat-transfer-vinyl/
Fun images or phrases for your gift.  This used the following from the Silhouette Store:
“Merry Christmas flourish” by Carina Gardner #228916

Now you are ready to go.  Dig out your Cricut, Silhouette, Brother or any other machine you want to use and start cutting.  Make sure you check the cut settings and do test cuts on the different types of vinyl you use.  They are all a little bit different. Once your image is cut out, weed all the excess vinyl out of the way.  With heat transfer vinyl you want to make sure you mirrored your image.  All images being cut from heat transfer vinyl need to be mirrored. On this project we used the Cricut EasyPress but you could also use and iron or a heat press.  Whatever you have will work.
