Here is a jazzy version of Tak The 'A' Train by Duke Ellington recorded about 1951. This was recorded from an old 16" radio transcription disc produced for the Treasury Dept "GUEST STAR" program to promote sales of Savings Bonds and was released Feb, 1951. I don't know if this jazzy version of the song was made specifically for this show or not, but it does sound like it could have been recorded in the radio studio. If so, it could be a unique version of the song, only available form this radio transcription. Cool!
