#LegendsOfDeathMetal - Most of the death metal bands I featured so far have been all bands I discovered in my formative years as a metalhead. However this band, though they have been around for a long time, I discovered quite late in 2010. Ladies and Gentleman, I give you Origin.

I still remember like it was yesterday. Mephisto and I were at Brutal Assault official and Origin came up on stage. We had no idea who the band was or anything about them. Us being drum aficionados ran straight to the side of the stage to check out the drummer. That drummer was John Longstreth. From the first beat he played we were blown away!! But we also left flabbergast because it looked like he was playing 8th notes with his feet but we could hear 16th notes being played.

Like creepy fanbois (read stalkers) we followed John to the backstage area to ask him about how he was playing those parts and what technique he was using. I think we stared at him in the dining hall for 10 minutes before Mephisto worked up the courage to go and talk to him and find out all the details about his secret foot technique. I got a bit braver later in the day and got a picture with him.
I came back to Mumbai and the first Origin song I properly heard was Finite and immediately I placed an order for the CD of Antithesis. I've been a fan ever since.

So here is my little version of Finite. Hope you enjoy it.
