A protected Tree in our province and illegal to cut down. The wood from this tree is very difficult to obtain. The flower of this tree is also our Official Provincial flower. I was very lucky to obtain this wood from a friend. It was a wind fallen tree on his property. This is very hard wood. Oct. 2, 2010
